PROGRAMS
Peter Clare Mentoring
Named after one of the founders and first Executive Director, the Peter Clare Mentoring program provides year round mentoring for 3rd-8th grade Black boys residing in Washington, DC, primarily in Wards 7 and 8. The mentors are African-American men who have received a college degree, have a military background, or who are entrepreneurs. Boys are grouped into the Gizmos (elementary school) and Gadgets (middle school) and meet with the mentors in a group setting two Saturdays a month. Activities include educational and recreational field trips throughout the DC area and workshop discussions about issues that impact the boys directly.

After-School STREAM
College Tribe provides STEM, Arts, and Reading classes to 3rd-8th grade Black boys and girls in select schools in Wards 7 & 8. Courses are offered throughout the school year and designed to develop competencies in STREAM topics including Photography, Robotics, Graphic Design, Coding, Music Composition, and Reading Comprehension.
STREAM Summer Camp
Since 2009 College Tribe has provided elementary and middle school students with a free, six-week summer program to strengthen their interest in Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math topics. The youth participate in daily STREAM activities and attend weekly recreational and educational field trips throughout the DMV. Our summer camp also provides Math and English tutoring to combat the "summer slide".
